The RV-500 delivers on demand hot water efficiently and conveniently with up to 55,000 BTU’s of power. At a flow of 1.5 gpm it can provide shower temperature water with incoming temperatures as low as 40 degrees. A 20 pound tank of propane (a barbeque-type tank) will provide approximately 940 gallons of shower temperature water.

The RV-500 is quiet and efficient. For the same amount of propane the RV-500 produces 15% to 20% more hot water. And because you are not constantly reheating a tank, many people find that they use up to 50% less propane. Whatever the incoming water temperature, the patented gas modulation of the RV-500 gives you consistent water temperature.

Water as hot as you want it for as long as you want.

* If you often travel in windy areas, you'll want to add the Wind Protection Fan kit. If you're often in cold climates, then you want to add the Cold Weather Protection Kit. You don't need to add them both since the Cold Weather kit includes the Wind Protection Fan.

IMPORTANT: Please note that you will need the Cold Weather Protection Kit if you plan to ever use your RV-500 in temperatures below freezing. Tankless water heaters do not store hot water in a tank, so they can freeze in cold weather. The Cold Weather Protection Kit prevents this by keeping the water in the pipes from freezing.  This option is installed at the factory , so it should be ordered at the same time as the water heater. It is impractical to install it later in the field. See the documentation above for more information.

HOW TO ORDER:

1. Select your cover type - Surface Mount or Flush Mount. Most applications use the surface mount cover. The only time a flush mount cover is required is when you're replacing the 10 gallon Atwood Flush Mount Water heater.


2. Select your cover color - White or Aluminum. The aluminum cover can be used as is or painted to the color of your choice.


3. Select your additional options. The Wind Protection Fan kit is needed if you camp in windy areas or if your RV has a slide-out right next to your water heater. The Cold Weather Protection Kit is needed if you plan to camp in temperatures below freezing. The Cold Weather Protection Kit includes the Wind Protection Fan Kit, so ordering both is not necessary. Both these options need to be ordered with the heater since they are installed at the factory prior to shipping.
